I once had fried pickles at a place named "Jefferson's" in Lawrence, Kansas, when I traveled there for a rock concert. They claimed to have invented them, and they were surprisingly not bad. That was the "thing" to order when you went there, along with chicken wings. The sign on the building says "Peace, Love, and Wings"- Good stuff!
If you have never tried them reserve judgment until you have a chance to experience fried pickles.

The kind we have in Texas are the chips not the spears. I think they are kinda too tangy for me, but not so bad I wouldn't eat another one.
